SERIAN: The 23rd Sosek Malindo (Sosial Ekonomi Malaysia-Indonesia) programme will be held in Sanggau, West Kalimantan, Indonesia, from December 7 to 8.
Serian Division Resident Caroline Cleophas Joseph said that the event will commence with a series of fun and games at the Entikong Border Crossing Post (PLBN) on December 7.
“Unique traditional games like the giant slipper race, land boat race, sack race, and blind banana will take center stage,” she said.
“Popular sports such as badminton, volleyball, and futsal will also be featured.”
The programme, Caroline added, aims to strengthen the bond between Malaysia and Indonesia through socio-economic and cultural exchanges.
On December 8, the festivities will culminate with the ‘Malam Titian Muhibbah’ cultural night in Sanggau town.
This event is expected to draw 100 delegates from Sarawak and will showcase a vibrant display of traditional dance performances from both nations.
