MIRI: State Transport Minister and Senadin assemblyman Datuk Seri Lee Kim Shin has mobilised his service centre team to aid victims of recent incidents here.
On Sunday (Nov 17), a house in Tudan Desaras Phase 6 collapsed due to heavy rainfall, while fire engulfed a house in Kampung Masjid, Kuala Baram.
Today (Nov 18), Cr Jeffery Phang Siaw Foong, representing Lee, visited both affected families.
The Senadin Service Centre, in coordination with the Miri Welfare Department and the Malaysian Red Crescent Society (MRCS) Miri Branch, provided immediate relief and essential supplies.
Financial aid was distributed to both families to help them recover from the losses.
Lee also expressed gratitude to the Fire and Rescue Department for their swift response to the fire.
While no injuries were reported in either incident, the fire completely destroyed the house in Kampung Masjid, and the house in Tudan Desaras Phase 6 suffered significant damage.
Cr Phang was accompanied by Kapitan Chong Ah Muk, Ketua Kaum (KK) Yusree Zainuzzaman of Kampung Masjid, firefighters from the Bomba Forensic Unit, staff from the Miri Welfare Department, and representatives from MRCS Miri Branch.
