SIBU: The Sarawak State Library (Pustaka) Sibu is set to host the ‘Sarawakku Membaca Karnival’ Series 4 this Saturday at the Belaga Community Hall.

Deputy Minister of Utilities and Telecommunications Datuk Liwan Lagang is expected to officiate the event, which begins at 8am with exhibitions, talks, and activities for children.

“Sarawakku Membaca Karnival is an effort to instil an interest in reading and foster a culture of knowledge and knowledge among the Sarawak community to develop a more knowledgeable, informed and informed society.

“This programme will be held in the form of a carnival to create a fun atmosphere in educating and encouraging the community to continue reading and learning regardless of age,” it said in a statement yesterday.

Among the highlights of the programme is the reading together with the leader (Liwan) where he will share his favourite books with the community.

Additionally, various interesting activities related to reading or encouraging reading will be held for all ages from children to seniors to improve arts and crafts skills as well as knowledge about the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in the local community.

Among them are PANDei Talks, Community Talks, SDG activities, children’s activities and Makers activities.

Also participating in the carnival are service exhibitions from various government agencies and non-governmental organisations which will start as early as 8am.

The government agencies will include Employees Provident Fund (EPF), Belaga District Health Office and many more.
