KUCHING: A total of 351 postgraduate graduates will receive their respective degrees at the Ninth Convocation Ceremony of Universiti Teknologi Sarawak (UTS) in Sibu on December 14.
The ceremony will feature two recipients of the Doctor of Philosophy degree, 33 Master’s degree holders and 316 Bachelor’s degree holders .
UTS Vice Chancellor, Prof Datuk Dr Khairuddin Ab. Hamid said the Head of State Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar, and his wife Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Fauziah Mohd Sanusi would attend the convocation event.
“Tun Wan Junaidi was appointed as the second Chancellor of UTS effective June 12 for a five-year term.
“Hence, a proclamation ceremony will also be held in conjunction with the appointment of Tun Wan Junaidi as the Chancellor of UTS,” said Khairuddin.
He told the media this following a courtesy visit to the Astana Negeri today(Nov 21).
The delegation was also joined by UTS Registrar Jimmy De Rozario @ Abdul Rahman, Director of the UTS Publishing Centre and Author of Tun Chancellor’s Biography Prof Dr Muhammad Firdaus Abong Abdullah, as well as other UTS board members.
