SRI AMAN: A search and rescue (SAR) operation to locate a missing elderly man in Rh Ringgit Ibol, here, entered its third day today (Nov 23).
The operation is focused on a 75-year-old man, Niang Lasa, who was reported missing after venturing into his farm three days ago.
The Sri Aman Fire and Rescue Department (BOMBA) reported receiving a distress call regarding the incident on November 21, at 7.34 am.
Despite intensive efforts, Niang remains unaccounted for as of this morning.
SAR efforts are divided into three groups with operations concentrated within a 3km radius of the farm hut, where Niang was last seen.
Search techniques include the sweep search and lookout methods, supported by a K9 detection unit.
