MIRI: Healthy Strides Malaysia celebrated two years of dedicated service to the local community with a special anniversary launch at the Healthy Strides Malaysia Centre here on Saturday.
Hosted in partnership with the Sarawak Oil Palm (SOP) Foundation, the event highlighted the organisation’s achievements while unveiling a groundbreaking initiative to support Malaysian children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
The newly launched programme aims to empower children with ASD through tailored services that enhance communication and motor skills, fostering independence and promoting community involvement.
This initiative underscores Healthy Strides Malaysia’s commitment to improving the quality of life for children with neurodisabilities.
The event was graced by SOP Foundation Board of Trustees Eric Kiu Kwong Seng.
Also in attendance was Dr Dayna Pool, clinical lead of Healthy Strides Foundation, who shared insights on the programme’s vision and potential impact.
“Healthy Strides Malaysia’s unwavering commitment to supporting children with neurodisabilities is inspiring.
“The launch of this new programme represents a significant step forward in addressing the needs of children with autism in our community.” said Kiu in his keynote speech
The celebration provided an opportunity for attendees to reflect on the milestones achieved by Healthy Strides Malaysia since its inception, including its role in providing essential services to children and families here and beyond.
Guests also participated in meaningful discussions on the importance of community collaboration in addressing the challenges faced by children with ASD.
