KUCHING: A new access road linking Stapok Utama road to Ensing residential area opened to traffic today (Nov 23).
This new road is a testament to our dedication to local development,” said Deputy Premier Datuk Amar Dr Sim Kui Hian, who officiated the road opening.
“The contractor’s efficient work has ensured timely completion and minimised public inconvenience.”
He assured the public that the state government was actively working to alleviate congestion through various infrastructure projects.
“Upcoming projects like the Batu Kawa Second Bridge and additional routes will further improve connectivity and ease traffic flow,” he said.
The 285-metre road, costing RM2 million, was funded by the Sarawak government.
It is expected to significantly reduce traffic congestion in the area.
