SELANGAU: A total of RM195,000 in Rural Transformation Programme (RTP) grants has been distributed to 19 recipients within the Tamin constituency.
Tamin assemblyman Ir Christopher Gira Sambang said the beneficiaries included 16 Village Development and Security Committees (JKKKs) in Selangau, the Selangau branch of SIDS, the Munggu Lalang Volunteer Firefighters Association and the Agro Sarawak Welfare Club.
He urged recipients to utilise the grants effectively for JKKK activities, as well as for the benefit of longhouses, associations and clubs.
“The Sarawak government, led by Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS), remains dedicated to continuously improving the quality of life for the people in this state,” he said during the opening ceremony of JKKK Terabai Sekuau.
The grant presentation ceremony took place at Rumah Tuai Rumah Nicholas Ngerembang Ngelambong recently.
