TUBAU: The Randau Solidariti Komuniti (RSK) programme aimed at raising awareness of the value of good ties has concluded on a great note.
It was organised by the Sarawak Social Development Council (MPS) in collaboration with the Bintulu Division Resident’s Office, the Sebauh District Office, local JKKKs (Village Development and Security Committees) and Rukun Tetangga Committees (KRT).
The closing ceremony was officiated by Murum assemblyman Kennedy Chukpai Agon.
In his brief speech, he emphasised the importance of unity and solidarity as the foundation of economic, social, and political stability in a multiracial society like Sarawak.
“Through community solidarity activities such as agency-sharing sessions, the solidarity forum, and community solidarity sports that have been conducted, I believe the participants have come to appreciate the value and importance of fostering good relationships to enhance quality interactions regardless of gender, age, ethnicity, and religion.
“With quality relationships, it becomes easier for us to achieve mutual understanding and strengthen social harmony within our community in Sebauh.
“When understanding and togetherness become a culture, it will be much easier for us to address social issues and challenges in an integrated manner,” he said during the closing ceremony of the RSK programme in Sebauh on Saturday (Nov 22)
The programme which involved various community members, raised awareness of the value of good relationships through activities such as forums, agency-sharing sessions, and community sports.
The initiative also strengthened the spirit of shared understanding among participants, aiming to achieve social harmony and collectively address community challenges.
