KUCHING: Kapit MP Datuk Seri Alexander Nanta Linggi dedicated his recent visit to engaging with the local community by attending various programmes and events in Kapit.

He first attended the Triennial Delegates Meeting of the Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) Katibas Branch.

“This meeting, attended by PBB members from the area, was held in Song.

“I later presented aid cheques to several recipients at an event held in Kapit.

“It is hoped that these contributions will help the recipients carry out various programs for the local community here,” he said in his Facebook post.

Nanta also visited the wake service for the late Tuai Rumah Lepong, Bubut Benang, who recently perished in a boat accident at Nanga Makoh, Kapit.

“The late Tuai Rumah was an old acquaintance, and his passing deeply affected me.

“I extend my condolences to his entire family and pray that they are given the strength to endure this loss,” he added.
