KOTA SAMARAHAN: A Buy Back Campaign will be held by Kota Samarahan Municipal Council (MPKS) to foster sustainable waste management practices and environmental consciousness among residents.

The campaign will take place on Nov 30, from 8am to 12pm at Pusat Hijau Komuniti, Pasar Bandar Riyal, here.

Residents can participate in the event by exchanging recyclable materials like appliances, used oil, and clothing for cash.

The Buy Back Campaign aims to tackle environmental challenges by promoting recycling, reducing landfill dependency, and raising awareness about sustainable consumption.

It will encourage residents to adopt eco-friendly habits by offering monetary incentives for recyclable items and will serves as an educational platform for effective waste management.

MPKS chairman Datuk Peter Minos said the Buy Back Campaign is a crucial step toward a greener, cleaner Kota Samarahan.

By offering monetary rewards for recyclables, the initiative aims to inspire sustainable habits and contribute to global environmental goals.
