PARIS: Airbus said Emirates was cutting orders for the superjumbo and “as a consequence and given the lack of order backlog with other airlines, Airbus will cease deliveries of the A380 in 2021.”

Emirates, which has been the largest purchaser of A380s, had reduced its order from 162 to 123, and will take a further 14 over the next two years, the statement said.
