KUCHING: The Malaysian Red Crescent Society of SJK Chung Hua No 5 had a two-in-one celebration at the old folks’ home Rumah Seri Kenangan at Jalan Muara Tuang in Samarahan here on Thursday.
Its members organised a three-hour community service called “We Care” starting from 1.30pm and it was also their unique way of celebrating Valentine’s Day.
Leading the group was the vice chairman of the school management committee Chan Chiaw Yam.
He said the purpose of the community service was to show care and love towards members of the old folks’ home during the Chinese New Year celebration.
The school headmistress Chin Mui Ling thanked parents, teachers and students for their donation in making the project a success.
