KUCHING: SJK Chung Hua No 5 organised a World Forestry Day with the theme “Forest and Energy” from 19 to 21 April.
The objective of the activity is to enhance the pupils’ knowledge on the importance of forest to the world and in saving planet Earth.
The activities include tree-planting, quiz competition, poster making competition, sales of bookmarks and many other interesting activities.
The pupils learnt and enjoyed the activities held. Parents were also encouraged to become judges for the poster-making competition.
Besides that, money collected from the sales of bookmarks will be donated to Cheshire Home.
The school headmistress, Madam Chin Mui Ling thanked the parents, teachers and pupils for their support and tree donation.
