BINTULU: A man was killed in a head-on collision between a van and a cement tanker trailer near Sebubu along the Bintulu-Miri road today.
Ading Manggom was driving the van from Bintulu to Samalaju when the collision happened; the trailer came from the opposite direction.
A team of Bintulu firemen rushed to the scene in response to an alert on the incident at 3.55pm.
They helped to extricate Ading who was pinned to his seat. He was later pronounced dead at the scene by medical personnel.
Meanwhile, the driver of the trailer was only lightly injured.
