KUCHING: The used car business is doing fine even though new models are released at affordable prices in the market today.
YSH Motors Trading Sdn Bhd head Yeo said running a used car business was not always great as the market needed time to adjust as majority are now using social media to promote their business.
“Talking about the industry’s business trend increasing or not, I highly doubt it as our economy is not doing too great therefore the business trend for used car companies is the same.”
He said the business would depend on the market if it was going to be seen as a sunset industry in the future.
Apart from that, he stated that new car models released at affordable prices such as Perodua Aruz was actually a business threat to used car companies as people could now afford new cars fresh from the factory.
“YSH Motors give special treatment to our buyers therefore, when a used car is bought, we will provide them warranty as a sign of gratitude,” Yeo said.
