MIRI: Three men from Bandar Baru Permyjayya were detained by cops on Friday morning for possession of drugs.
The arrest was made at around 11am at a house by a team from the Miri Narcotics Criminal Investigation Department, said Miri Deputy police chief Supt Sabri Zainol when contacted by New Sarawak Tribune.
All three suspects, aged 21, 48 and 56, are currently in police custody to assist investigations into the case.
During the raid, police also found and seized drugs weighing 5.11g, believed to be methamphetamine with a street value of RM800.
The case is being investigated under Section 39A(1) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952 for drug possession.
Preliminary investigation also revealed that one of the trio has a previous record of drug offences.
All suspects tested positive for methamphetamine.
