“Our enforcement team comprising officers from our One-Stop Compliance Centre (OSCC) in Tubau and Bintulu Regional Office was on patrol when they came upon two logs subsequently identified to be of the Tapang species which is protected under the Wild Life Protection Ordinance, 1998. Further investigation in the area yielded another 52 logs believed to have been felled illegally,” said SFC in a statement yesterday.
