KUCHING: Sarawak United People’s Party (SUPP) Central Youth secretary-general Milton Foo believes Parti Sarawak Bersatu (PSB) leaders changed their political allegiance for the sake of their own convenience – like a chameleon.
In a press statement, he said PBS started when the state assemblymen left SUPP to form Teras in 2014.
From there, they went on to form United People’s Party (UPP) and now PSB.

Foo asked GPS leaders to make a final decision on PSB.

“A chameleon changes colour to suit the environment and has no root colour, and PSB is the same. They keep changing from one party to another.

“The pertinent question is does GPS (Gabungan Parti Sarawak) really need a partner or a component party such as PSB? The answer is obvious.

“It is also an undeniable fact that those leaders who are currently serving as ADUNs in PSB in fact won their seats under the BN (Barisan Nasional) ticket by resigning from UPP in the 2016 state election did not fulfil their undertakings in joining any BN component party then after they’d won the seats as promised to the late Tok Nan (former Sarawak chief minister),” said Foo.
“The inner character will never change as the chameleon is best at changing colour from its appearance to mislead the people in believing that PSB keeps changing colours in order to serve people better.”
He said SUPP urged GPS leaders to make a decisive call to keep PSB out of GPS as its political culture was contrary to GPS and it was also challenging the leadership of GPS as well as the spirit of unity among the component parties.
