SIBU: A total of 363 people from 22 government departments and agencies received the Pingat Perkhidmatan Setia (PPS) from Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg.
The presentation ceremony was held today at a leading hotel. Heading the list of recipients from Sibu Division was Sibu Resident, Charles Siaw, who had been with the state civil service for 33 years.
Resident for Sarikei Division, Felicia Tan Yan Hua, who served for 26 years, and Resident of Serian Division, Jonathan Lugoh, who served for 33 years, were also presented with the medal.
The recipients with more than 40 years of service included Jeffridin Jalani, Jafaril Adeni, Abang Daniel Abang Ahmad (Land and Survey Department); Tiong Chiong Ming, Awang Ismail Awang Bunsu (Public Work Department); Aminah Tambi, Suhaili Wahed, Joseph Ingas Bar, Teresah@ Theresa Selan @ Slan, Hasna Wan Rebi, Osman Ali (State Medical Department ); Maria Ganing, Yusof Pahari, Ann Bujang, Dayang Marpati Abang Kipli and Muhammad Nursyukuran Fitri Abdullah @ Suran Kiroh (State Education Department).
Among those present at the ceremony were State Secretary Tan Sri Datuk Amar Mohamad Morshidi Abdul Ghani; Second Finance Minister Datuk Seri Wong Son Koh; and Transportation Assistant Minister Datuk Dr Jerip Susil.
