KUCHING: Referring to a contract document in replacing three faulty septic tanks at Block 9 RPR Tondong here, Housing Development Corporation (HDC) issued a press statement today denying allegations made by a Chinese-language portal on March 21.
The portal requested further explanation from HDC claiming that the latter had only replaced one unit of septic tank.
HDC chief executive officer Mohamad Asman Ahmad said the works of replacing the three septic tanks have reached completion in Dec 2018, a month earlier prior to the completion schedule.
“The work of replacing the septic tanks was done by a contractor appointed through the tender process, Zul Construction Company, with the allocation of RM261,549,” said Asman.
Asman added that the work of replacing three septic tanks from the Ecosept ES-40C1 type has solved the problem of sewage system for all 60 house units of Block 9.
