KUCHING: The body of 70-year-old Soo Yii Tai was found just 50m away from his house at Lorong 47, Stutong Baru yesterday morning.
Neighbours said Soo who went out at 5pm would normally return before dusk and when he did not, his family and friends went all over searching for him in BDC and Tabuan Jaya, including friends’ houses, on Thursday.
Soo’s remains were found in a stream at about 10am by his wife and friends who decided to search the jungles at the back of their house.
Police were called and the remains were brought to the Sarawak General Hospital for an autopsy.
The case is classified as sudden death.
