MIRI: Forty-four teachers from 20 elementary schools took part in a fire prevention and safety programme here on Saturday.

The one-day programme at Lopeng fire station covered six learning modules.

It was jointly organised by Miri Bomba zone 6 and the Community Development Department (Kemas) for Miri /Sibuti.

The participants were exposed to various topics including first aid, fire demonstration in the kitchen, building evacuation and how to operate firefighting equipment properly during emergencies.
