The condition of the car after the crash at KM28 Jalan Batu Danau in Limbang.

LIMBANG: A woman died while her husband and two children were injured after the car they were travelling in collided with a four-wheel-drive (4WD) vehicle near Kampung Buluh Balui, KM28 Jalan Batu Danau here yesterday afternoon.

Limbang District Police chief, Supt Mohd Bukhori Saffai said the deceased was identified as Ria Ernawati, from Indonesia.

He said the victims were heading towards Tedungan from Limbang town when the car driven by Abdul Wahab Asmat, 49, went out of control and veered onto the opposite lane before colliding head-on with the 4WD.

He said Abdul Wahab, his 10-year-old son and daughter, 13, sustained minor injuries in the incident, but his wife, Ria Ernawati died at the scene.

Mohd Bukhori said the case would be investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act, 1987.
