DARO: A total of RM130,000 in minor rural projects (MRP) was allocated to 22 organisations within the Daro constituency.
According to its assemblyman, Safiee Ahmad, it was to enable the organisations to conduct various community activities and programmes in the area; benefiting all parties at the same time.
“On March 25, 19 organisations received the grants and on April 1, another three will receive theirs,” he said when asked on the subject matter.
In regards to this, Safiee hopes that non-governmental organisations (NGOs) can play a role in assisting the community to be more pro-active in organising programmes.
“The objectives and goals of an organisation should be adhered to at all times so that every activity conducted can be implemented more effectively.
“I also would like to remind them as to send in details and reports as this would determine funds allocated,” he said.
