KUCHING: A lucky retiree from Selangor won the RM10.4 million Toto 4D Jackpot 1 on 19 April, 2017 and generously fulfilled his son’s dream to own a sports car.
The 74-year-old winner, who collected his winnings together with his children at the Sports Toto head office in Kuala Lumpur two days later, said his youngest son dreamed of driving a sports car since young and as a father, he felt great that he could help to fulfill his son’s dream.
A longtime customer himself, the winner said he started to play Sports Toto games even before its privatization and now he only plays Toto 4D and Toto 4D Jackpot.
“When my son saw his dream sports car on the road last week, he told me that he wanted the car so much that he would own it one day.
“I wanted to help him make his dream come true. So I used my children’s identity card numbers as combination – ‘0666 & 8933’ to bet on Toto 4D Jackpot. Luckily enough, I won the jackpot after 3 draws.”
“We even had a family meeting about how to spend the winnings before coming to collect it. To be fair to my other children, we will share the prize money which is a whopping RM10,430,724.50,” the father of five added.
