According to Merbin, police personnel are encouraged to go for regular check-ups to assess their level of fitness.

He added the aim of the medical check-ups and health screenings was also to foster closer ties between the Health Ministry and the police.

Besides the health screening, Padawan police have lined up a few other programmes like a parade on the Police Day itself and meeting the public to forge closer rapport with society.
