PADAWAN: Fifteen senior police officers and 50 police personnel from Padawan police station this day morning went for medical check-ups and health screenings at Rajah Charles Brooke Memorial Hospital here.
The policemen were led by DSP Merbin Lisa. The medical check-ups and health screenings were organised in conjunction with the 212th Police Day celebration.
The check-ups and screenings were led by the director of the hospital, Dr Joanne Lim.
According to Merbin, police personnel are encouraged to go for regular check-ups to assess their level of fitness.
He added the aim of the medical check-ups and health screenings was also to foster closer ties between the Health Ministry and the police.
Besides the health screening, Padawan police have lined up a few other programmes like a parade on the Police Day itself and meeting the public to forge closer rapport with society.
