SRI AMAN: A police report was lodged yesterday against Sabah-Sarawak Merdeka Facebook account holder for allegedly insulting the Yang di-Pertuan Agong, Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah.

The police report was made at 4.30pm at Sri Aman District police headquarters (IPD) by Harakah Islamiah (HIKMAH) Sri Aman Branch and Silat Teachers Helang Putih Sri Aman.

Datuk Wan Abdillah Edruce Wan Abdul Rahman, chairman of Hikmah Sri Aman, said the photos uploaded to the Facebook page were insulting and thus outraged the people in the country.

“Moreover, in using the names of Sabah and Sarawak, the Facebook account holder could create conflicts that could undermine harmony in the country,” he said.

He said the act showed extreme infidelity and provocation which was not acceptable to all races.

“The authorities are asked to investigate and take immediate action against the people concerned.

“The purpose of this report is to let the police know that the postings have disturbed the well-being and unity of Malaysians and the complainants wanted the police to act.
