KUCHING: A car carrying a couple overturned after it crashed into a tree at Green Road here at 8.20pm yesterday night.
According to eye witnesses, the driver lost control of the car while trying to overtake another vehicle.
Passers-by helped the injured couple out of the vehicle.
Meanwhile, the driver of a Proton Waja made a quick exit from his when he saw flames coming out of the engine compartment at about 9.30am at Jalan Ellis yesterday.
Passers-by rushed over to the man and doused the flames with a fire extinguisher.
Firemen called to the scene arrived to see the flames already extinguished.
