MIRI: It was raining heavily early yesterday morning when the Miri Fire Station received a call from a house owner at Taman Jelita Avenue, Jalan Lada here.
The caller claimed that a stray dog had got stuck in a gap of the gate of a house.
It is not known how the dog had ended up in the situation.
Eight firemen led by Abang Muhd Fahzil had just helped an injured Filipino man involved in an accident near Taman Awam here when they received a call at 10.25am regarding the trapped dog.
According to sources, the house owner had heard a dog barking outside his house and when he looked out he was surprised to see a dog stuck in the gate of a house.
Worried for the dog’s safety he then contacted the Miri Fire station.
It took the firefighters just a few minutes to free the dog.
