KUCHING: A 60-year-old man who went missing while going out to his farm on Monday afternoon returned home yesterday morning.
Chai Shong Meau from Kampung Sejijak, Kuching reportedly went out at 3pm and family members said he would normally be back by 5pm.
When he did not go back, family members were worried of his whereabouts and lodged a police report.
Police, Fire and Rescue Department together with villagers searched the surrounding area for Chai but failed to locate him. The search was called off at 1.30am yesterday.
However, Chai was said to return on his own at 8.30 am yesterday. Firemen then conducted a check on his immediate wellbeing.
