MIRI: A man and his male lover were detained by Miri Narcotics Department following a Thursday morning raid of a budget hotel at Jalan Nahkhoda Gampar.
During the 11.05am raid, the team seized 27 straws believed to contain methamphetamine with street value of RM1,000.
“The seized drug weighed 6.25g,” said Miri police chief ACP Lim Meng Seah.
Also seized were two unused condoms.
The suspects aged 27 and 29 are currently being detained at Miri Narcotic police office for questioning.
The case is being investigated under Section 39A (1) and Section 15 (1)(a) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952.
One of the suspects was tested positive for drugs.
