MIRI: The police issued 121 traffic summonses and seized 73 motorcycles during their seven-hour “Ops Samseng Jalanan” last Saturday night at Grand Old Lady in Canada Hill.

The operation started at 9.30pm.

Miri police chief ACP Lim Meng Seah said 156 motorcycles were checked during the operation that was aimed at neutralising street gangsters, tracking down stolen motorcycles as well as individuals on the police’s wanted list.

Lim said of the 12 persons were screened, seven were detained after they tested positive for syabu.
