KUALA LUMPUR: Techninier Sdn Bhd, a mobile social gaming platform provider and Celcom Axiata Bhd awarded its three-time winning champion, Teoh Khay Sheng, with the grand cash prize of RM100,000 in the Celcom Game Hero — Space Rider: Star Hunt mobile game tournament.
The 25-year-old insurance agent from Kedah, outshone eight other finalists during a one-hour showdown held at Celcom’s headquarters building.
Teoh’s top score of 195,350 points and the fastest time record of only 14 minutes, made him the Celcom Game Hero grand champion for the third time as he returned as a seasoned champion.
He claimed two victories during the Celcom Game Hero: Kill Shot Legacy (April 2018) and Celcom Game Hero ̶ Knight Clash mobile tournaments (Dec 2018), according to a statement.
The runner-up for this year’s tournament was Jafree Erik, 39, from Sabah, followed by Mohd Farhan Hassan (Kelantan) who won third place.
Celcom Game Hero offers customers a unique mobile gaming experience with the opportunity to win cash prizes and supports local content developers via collaborations, and by contributing to the development of the nation’s e-sports industry.
