PUSA: The residents here were shocked by the discovery of a white crocodile carcass in the upper Batang Rimbas last Saturday afternoon.
According to the villagers, the carcass was found floating near the riverbank by fishermen who returned from the sea in the late afternoon.
They estimated the carcass of the white crocodile to be four metres long.
They also said that part of the head of the reptile was missing, believed to have been hacked by somebody.
Despite the discovery, the villagers did not remove the carcass. They just hoped that it would be swept away by currents.
However, early yesterday morning, the carcass was still seen floating near the riverbank.
