BELAGA: The bodies of two men involved in a boat capsize incident at Batu Keling, Ulu Balui have been found.

The deceased have been identified as Wahab Jambu in his 50s and Law Yew Ngee in his 40s. Their bodies were found by a search and rescue (SAR) team on the second day of an operation. The boat skipper, Siring Angah in his 60s survived in the incident.

Wahab’s remains were found at 11.20pm on Sunday at the spot where the boat capsized while Law’s remains were found at 4am about six feet from where Wahab’s body was found.

The incident happened while the three men were on the way to Batu Keling to fish.

Batu Keling is about two and half hours’ boat ride from Bakun jetty using a 60-horsepower outboard engine.

After the boat capsized, the boat skipper managed to swim to safety while the other two failed to surface.

The bodies of the two victims were handed over to the police for further actions.

With the find, the SAR operation concluded at 8.30am this morning.
