SIBU: A locally produced five-minute video clip entitled ‘Cai Cer Ruai’ will be uploaded on YouTube on May 25 for viewers worldwide to experience the unique Iban culture and music.
It will make its premier in an open air on the evening of May 24 in front of De’ Vulture Cafe in Sungai Merah and after that to be uploaded to YouTube.
Following that King’s Theatre will show the video clip before every movie is played. Featuring a six-member band, Etnik Revolution, the video clip is the work of a local cinematographer, Braden Tiong Ming who did it at his own expense.
“My intention of producing this video clip is not only to promote Iban culture and music but also to let the world know of our beautiful rainforest,” he said at a press conference here yesterday.
Tiong said while he came out with the storyline for the video, Etnik Revolution was the composer for its music and song,
“Shooting for the video was done in a day in the pictureque rainforest of Pasai Siong and Bawang Assan by his team of four crew members. And I spent three days editing the video,” said Tiong, 45.
