MIRI: A police report has been lodged yesterday by Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) Hulu Rajang chairman Abun Sui Anyit, requesting the relevant authorities to conduct an investigation into an allegation made by Sarawak Report claiming some amount of rural grants (from the state government) were abused to fund an online portal, Dayak Daily.
Abun told reporters when met outside Miri Central Police Station (CPS) yesterday that he would lodge a similar report with the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) Miri branch.
On the other hand, DD has come out with an official statement dismissing the allegation made by Sarawak Report.
The statement firmly stated that its management is not connected with the state government or any political parties in the state.
