KUCHING: Sarawak Federal Secretary Mohd Shahabuddin Omar yesterday distributed 3,000 packets of ‘bubur lambuk’ (savoury porridge) to the workers and staff at the Federal Complex, also known as Sultan Iskandar Building, here.
The programme was a collaboration between the Sarawak Federal Secretary’s office and the Federal Building Maintenance Co-ordination Committee (JPPBGP) of the Federal Complex here. It was organised in conjunction with Ramadan.
The distribution of ‘bubur lambuk’ is an annual activity of the Federal Co-operative Building Coordination Committee (JPPBGP) of the Federal Complex.
One hundred and thirty staff from 26 federal departments/agencies in the building worked together to prepare and cook the dish.
Apart from that, Shahabuddin also handed a gift bag to each of the 14 heads of departments/agencies for their efforts in making the ‘bubur lambuk’.
Making the ‘bubur lambuk’ together enhanced the spirit of solidarity between the staff and workers at the Federal Complex.
