BINTULU: A total of 10 taekwondo athletes of Bintulu Vocational College were selected for the Sarawak State Taekwondo WTF Championship 2017.
The state level taekwondo championship will be held in Kuching from May 19 to 21.
All the athletes will participate in the Poomsae and Kyorugi (Sparring) categories and accompanied by teacher, Pui Jak Joon who was confident with their performance.
“We are very confident with the performance of our athletes. They will undoubtedly give a tough fight to the opponents, and we are looking forward with enthusiasm. Hopefully, luck and victory will be on our side,” he said.
The athletes are Joseph Anak Ungkah, Marylyne Bungan, Nurul Zakirah, Aisha Syahizah, Ariel Enrique Eliah, Juhi Nirvana Anak Jumput, Nad Azalina Bt Ibrahim, Lawrence Anyie John, Ellyeno Bin Tishs and Nur Atirah Bt Julaihi.
Pok Jak Joon, as coach and accompany teacher, will accompany the athletes along with team manager, Chong Mow Chai and teacher, Siti Nor Hafiza Muhammad.
