“It was as mentioned by Transport Minister Anthony Loke Siew Fook,” he told New Sarawak Tribune when asked to comment on the statement made by Petra Jaya MP Datuk Fadillah Yusof on the call for cheaper airfares from MAS, AirAsia and Malindo during the Gawai Dayak and Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebrations.

Mordi explained that Group CEO of AirAsia Tan Sri Tony Fernandes announced on April 30 this year, AirAsia had received the government’s approval to offer 115,000 additional seats during the upcoming Pesta Kaamatan, Gawai Dayak and Raya Aidilfitri celebrations.

According to Fernandez, the one-way flights from Peninsular Malaysia to Sarawak will be fixed at RM149 while one-way flights from Peninsular Malaysia to Sabah will be fixed at RM199.
