Petronas vice-president (Group Health, Safety, Security and Environment) head Dzafri Sham Ahmad presented RM200 to each recipient at the ceremony held on Sunday.

Dzafri said, “The donations were collections from Muslim staff in Petronas for the less privileged. We hope our small contributions can help lighten their burden during the month of Ramadan.”

Also present at the event were State Immigration Department deputy assistant director Andika Tukiron, Miri District Sarawak Administration Officer (SAO) Mariati Samat and Temenggong Abdul Rahman Fadzail.

Bakip also donated RM30,000 to another 200 recipients at similar events in Kuching and Bintulu on May 22 and 25 respectively.
