KUCHING: Here was one ungrateful, thankless patient.

All he did was swear and curse – at people he should be thanking for coming to save his life.

The incident unfolded when a motorcycle and a car collided at Jalan Astana here at about 10am yesterday.

The ambulance was called to the scene and the paramedics attended to the injured – the pillion rider of the motorcycle.

But instead of getting words of appreciation from the injured pillion rider, the members of the emergency team were given an earful.

The injured pillion rider reportedly spewed profanities on the medical personnel who were attending to him, all the way from the accident scene to the Emergency room in the Sarawak General Hospital yesterday.

He was heard scolding them and screaming each time they tried to attend to him.

Despite the man’s unfriendly nature, the medical team kept their cool and carried on with their tasks.
