MIRI: Parents are told to help their children stay focus both in schools and at homes.
In making the call Sibuti MP Lukanisman Awang Sauni added that parents should also help teachers to teach their children to tackle one thing at a time, rather than working on many things at once.
He said this during his Gawai Raya celebration at SK Sungai Bakas near here on Wednesday.
“I believe that effective communication is crucial in forging school-family ties. Parental involvement in their children’s education is vital in shaping and helping them to stay focus,” Lukanisman said.
During the event, Lukanisman also announced an allocation of RM50,000 for the school’s roof assembly area.
On another matter, Lukanisman also urged the parents to support their children in their co-curricular activities.
“Parental involvement in co-curricular activities is essential to enhance the pupils’ morale,” he said.
