MIRI: A man cheated death after his motorcycle rear-ended a lorry at Jalan Pujut Padang Kerbau here on Tuesday.
The man in his 30s was heading to Jalan Cahaya from Pujut Corner when the accident occurred at around 5.00pm. This was when the victim failed to avoid the lorry that was coming out of a road junction.
“As a result of the crash, the victim lost consciousness after he was thrown off the machine. He was later taken to Miri Hospital for treatment,” said sources.
Traffic policemen who were alerted on the accident were at the scene to investigate the cause of the accident.
