MUKAH: More than 1,000 containers of savoury porridge (Bubur Lambuk) were distributed to the members of public in this district yesterday afternoon.

The event, which was held in conjunction with the forthcoming Ramadan, was jointly organised by Police Family Association (Perkep) Mukah, Amanita, Mukah District Police Club, and Surau Darul Husna of Mukah District Police Headquarters.

The event was graced by Tellian State Assemblyman, Yussibnosh Balo.

Also present were Mukah District Officer, Shafrie Saili, IPD Mukah Special Branch Head and Surau Darul Husna  Patron, ASP Hazman Crisma Mohd  Marzidi, who represented Mukah District Police chief, DSP Jimmy Panyau and senior police officers.

It has been the annual tradition of the local police to cook and distribute the savoury porridge to the public several days before the fasting month.

At the event Yussibnosh presented a Minor Rural Project grant totaling RM3,000 to ASP Hazman who received on behalf of the department.
