SIMUNJAN: Deputy Minister of Home Affairs, Dato Masir Kujat when officiating at a Pre-Gawai celebration at Rumah Akau Lagot, Kedumpai, here presented a RM30,000 grant for the longhouse to repair its roof and RM5,000 for the longhouse Women’s Bureau.

He also presented RM50,000 to Rumah Robert Gana, Kesindu, RM10,000 to Rumah Mabong, Kesindu, RM5,000 to Women’s Bureau of Rumah Ricky Lawat, Ensebang Kuari and RM3,000 to Women’s Bureau of Kampung Giam Jaya, RM5,000 each to Parent-Teacher Association (PIBG) of SK Kedumpai and Rumah Bison, Mentu.

“I will continue to contest as a BN candidate for this Parliamentary seat because there are still a lot for development projects with I want to implement in the next five years,” said Masir who is also MP for Sri Aman.

The event also saw the presence of members of Persatuan Tuai-Tuai Rumah Kawasan Balai Ringin, Simunjan and Pantu (BASIMPAN) who announced their full support to Masir as a BN candidate for the Sri Aman Parliamentary seat in the coming 14th General Election.

Masir is expected to officiate at the closing of Gawai at Rumah Lindang, Lachau Ili on 17 Jun and to launch the election machinery for Sri Aman Parliamentary constituency.
