KUCHING: A 39-year-old businessman was found hanged at a commercial block in Jalan Pending here yesterday.
District police chief ACP Awang Din Awang Gani said the man was found by his employee around 10.16am before the police was notified.
“Paramedics pronounced the victim dead and that body was brought to the mortuary of Sarawak General Hospital for further action,” he said when contacted.
Awang Din also pointed out that the police did not suspect any foul play.
The post mortem date has yet to be decided and the case is being classified as sudden death.
In an unrelated case, a man was found dead in a house at Jalan Sungai Apong at about 9.30am on Friday.
Awang Din said the 51-year-old man who hailed from Jalan Nokes, Sungai Apong was found with a hand written note, apologising to his wife and children for not being able to provide for the family due to his illness.
According to the victim’s wife, the victim suffered from high blood pressure and haemorrhoid.
Police are still investigating the case and the body has been taken to the mortuary of Sarawak General Hospital for further action.
The case has been identified as sudden death pending post-mortem result.
