KUCHING: Gotong-royong Aidiladha with the military and the local community here makes a merrier Hari Raya Haji this year.
A total of seven cows and two goats were sacrificed through the contribution of Kota Samarahan MP Rubiah Wang and Stakan assemblyman Datuk Seri Ali Mahmud who contributed two cows each.
Military personnel contributed three cows and two goats for the sacrificial ceremony. Eastern Field Command Commander lieutenant general Datuk Wira Zamrose Mohd Zain officiated at the event held at the Penrissen Military Camp here.
He also distributed the sacrificial meat to the army and needy people from around the area. Also present was First Division Commander major general Datuk Md Din Abu.
