KUCHING: Bank Rakyat has unveiled its first ever ‘Auto Finance Centre’ (AFC) in Sarawak at its Simpang Tiga branch in Jalan Tun Jugah, here.

It will commence operation on Sept 10, serving customers with greater efficiency in facilitating their financing needs.

Bank Rakyat director for Sabah and Sarawak region Mohamad Shiblie Abg Sapuan said the launch of its first AFC in Sarawak was a strategic move in responding to market and consumer demands.

“By providing the centre, we will engage more with the community while focusing on servicing our clients and customers,” he explained at a media session here yesterday.

Abang Shiblie added that the centre would become a key driver in strengthening the bank’s corporate image and a vehicle in fulfilling consumer’s financing needs.

“All financing and disbursement operations are fully handled by this centre.

“I believe we are still among the top personal financing products in the market, including other facilities such as mortgages and housing loans, as well as our pawn broking product with Ar-Rahnu, which is one of our bank’s forte in the market.
